Still Black Tuesday

Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout
Become a Member

Imperial stout aged in French oak puncheons With all the nuanced complexity in this iteration, we’d be selling it a bit short if we say it’s just Black Tuesday. In typical Bruery fashion, we saw the opportunity to experiment and lay this beer to rest in new French oak puncheons. After three years of tasting, we finally felt the time had come to unleash this beer upon the world. Yes, it’s packaged still under cork. Yes, it’s void of bourbon character. Yes, it’s different. And, yes, it’s Still Black Tuesday. 750-ml. Bottle Access Level: Hoarders, Reserve

Port barrel-aged imperial stout with Syrah grapes Truly like nothing you’ve tasted before. We started this project over three years ago with our standard Black Tuesday base and laid it to rest in port pipes. We blended in fresh Syrah grapes to sweeten the base beer through the years. We let it age until it finally felt ready to unleash upon the world. Portified Black Tuesday is an immensely complex, concentrated, and decadent beer. 500-ml. Bottle Access Level: Hoarders, Reserve

Rum barrel-aged ale with lime, grapefruit, almond, orange flower water, and spices Mai Zombie begins with a Tiki-inspired base beer as the foundation for the spirited nuances enkindled by the rum barrels it rested in for over a year. Inspired by one of our favorite island drinks, we used lime and grapefruit zest, orange flower water, almonds, allspice, and hints of cinnamon and ginger for a unique Tiki beer experience. Exotic, tropical, and like nothing you’ve tasted before. 750-ml. Bottle Access Level: Hoarders

This fan-favorite was crafted using our bourbon barrel-aged Black Tuesday and treated with vegan marshmallows, hand-processed Tahitian vanilla beans, peanut flour, and a dash of salt. Spontaneously-fermented sour blonde ale aged in oak barrels When it comes to crafting extraordinarily wild ales, the onus is on us. This three-year blend is an homage to tradition and a testament to our Bruers’ dedication to the craft. Brewed using traditional Belgian methods of turbid mashing, spontaneous fermentation, and a Terreux twist— inoculation via the wild winds of industrial-rustic Anaheim, imparting a one-of-a-kind complexity. We hand-selected our favorite barrels, which were then gracefully blended to taste. Funky, complex, tart, and drinkable. 750-ml. Bottle Access Level: Hoarders, Reserve

Spontaneous Sour Blonde Ale

Double barrel-aged imperial stout with banana, toasted coconut, cacao nibs, and Tahitian vanilla beans There was a Fürst and now there’s a 2econd. We peeled off a bit Fürst to give it a second round of aging in coconut rum and spiced rum barrels. This double barrel-aged imperial stout was treated with toasted coconut, cacao, Tahitian vanilla beans and bananas to mimic a German chocolate banana cake. Hoarders-Only. Extremely limited. 750-ml. This finished product balances notes of funky fruit and crisp, complex tartness our most keen enthusiasts will rejoice in. 750-ml. Bottle Access Level: Hoarders

Bourbon barrel-aged honey ale People of the court, hear ye! We truly enjoy exploring traditional styles through modern crafting— and this braggot-style ale is a uniquely sweet reward. Our Bruers called on honey to guide fermentation before aging this ale for over 12 months in hand-selected bourbon barrels producing a sticky, honey sweetness swirling prominently among hints of caramel, spice, and oak character. Raise a glass of Chaucer’s Chalice. Huzzah! 750-ml. Bottle Access Level: Hoarders, Reserve

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout

Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with marshmallows, Tahitian vanilla beans, peanuts, and salt We have a long history with fluffernutters here at The Bruery. We first made this beer in 2014 for our anniversary party, it was included in the 2020 Black Tuesday Box, and here we are again. This fan-favorite was crafted using our bourbon barrel-aged Black Tuesday and treated with vegan marshmallows, hand-processed Tahitian vanilla beans, peanut flour, and a dash of salt. Despite the arguments behind making the perfect fluffernutter, there’s no argument about how decadently delightful this imperial stout is. 750-ml. Bottle Access Level: Hoarders, Reserve

Gin and chartreuse barrel-aged rye ale brewed with spices, cherries, lime zest, and almonds Knock twice and whistle for entry— The Last Word is a distinctly Terreux twist on a long forgotten Prohibition-era drink. For this cocktail-inspired treat, we brewed a sour rye ale with lavender, pepper, rosemary, and Juniper berries, and aged it in gin and chartreuse barrels then treated it with cherries, lime zest, and almonds to mimic the key ingredients of the cocktail.
