Imperial stout with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes aged in French oak puncheons
Inspired by the sweeping views and elevated landscape of the Atlas Peak AVA in Napa Valley, we set out to make another beer-wine hybrid treat with our good friends at Erosion Wine Co. We blended and fermented our Black Tuesday imperial stout on the skins and musts of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the elevated Atlas Peak AVA region, then aged it in French oak puncheons. The result transcends the boundary between beer and wine for a delightful indulgence.
