Like its namesake, Chromatophore reveals itself in layers. Inspired by the specialized cells that create shifting patterns of color and light, this Bourbon & Applejack barrel-aged Barleywine evolves with every sip. Aroma of rich vanilla, caramel, and bourbon lead the way, opening into a deep, reddish-brown pour. Recirculated over Madagascar vanilla, the beer showcases decadent notes of caramel apple melded with vanilla before transitioning into warming bourbon, oak, and subtle brandy character from the barrels.
