Bruery event raises $40,000 for Boys and Girls Club
The Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana recently partnered for a second year with The Bruery in Placentia and raised more than $40,000 for the club.
The annual event celebrated The Bruery’s sixth anniversary – its Sucréversary – at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim.
Titled in honor of The Bruery’s sixth anniversary ale, Sucré, the event featured 76 types of beers from 26 different breweries. Beachwood BBQ provided its signature pulled pork, smoked short ribs and vanilla scented yams to satisfy the appetite of the beer connoisseurs.
Also going along with the sweet sucré theme, Chunk N Chip ice cream truck cooled guests off with some delicious ice cream sandwiches and beer floats. All of these participants donated time and product in order to raise the most money possible.
About 1,500 members of The Bruery’s Reserve and Hoarder Society attended the event. More than 30 volunteers from BGCSA dedicated their time to the event by assisting the different breweries at pouring stations and helping assure the event ran smoothly.
